Eat at The Plough
We are dedicated to showcasing the best locally sourced, seasonal produce on our daily-changing menu of modern British comfort cooking.
Our kitchen is headed up by The Plough’s chef/owner, Sebastian Snow, and head chef, Matt Read, who previously worked with Sebastian at his former London restaurant, Snows on the Green. Matt has also worked at The Ivy and Langan’s Brasserie in Mayfair and The Talland Bay Hotel, Cornwall.
Our dining room seats 40. We also have a separate bar/eating space, The Hideaway Bar, housed in an old stable block in the garden. Seating up to ten, The Hideaway Bar is available for private dinner parties.
Outside, our delightful, cottage-style garden is perfect for summer dining and drinks – the log fires in the restaurant and bar roar in the winter months.

We offer an à la carte menu which runs day and night and a bar menu which runs alongside it. You can mix and match as you please between them. Sample menus are listed on the left (our menus change on a regular basis).
We do not have a children’s menu but offer child’s size burger (£6), fish & chips (£6), sausages & mash(£6), scampi & chips (£6) along with smaller children’s roasts on Sundays.
