Eat at The Plough

We are dedicated to showcasing the best locally sourced, seasonal produce on our daily-changing menu of modern British comfort cooking. Our kitchen is headed up by The Plough’s chef and owner, Sebastian Snow, alongside head chef Matt Read, who previously worked with Sebastian at his London restaurant, Snows on the Green. Matt has also worked at The Ivy and Langan’s Brasserie in Mayfair and The Talland Bay Hotel, Cornwall.

We have two dining rooms, with our restaurant seating 40 guests over 12 tables and our Hideaway seating 20 guests over 5 tables. The Hideaway is also available for private reservation by parties of 12 or more. Dining guests are also welcome in our bar, which seats 17 over 4 tables, however we do not take reservations for these tables and they are available on a first-come basis.

Outside, our delightful, cottage-style garden is perfect for summer dining and drinks – the log fires in the restaurant and bar roar in the winter months.

  • Tuesday – Saturday: 12:00-23:00
  • Sunday:                        12:00-18:00

The restaurant is open 6 days a week (closed on Mondays)
Bar menu will be available on Saturdays throughout the day.

  • Friday:       12:00-15:00 / 18:00-22:00
  • Saturday :       12:00-15:00 / 18:00-22:00
  • Sunday:       12:00-18:00

Please note:
We offer an à la carte menu which runs day and night and a bar menu which runs alongside it.  You can mix and match as you please between them. Sample menus are listed on the left (our menus change on a regular basis).
We do not have a children’s menu but offer child’s size burger (£6), fish & chips (£6), sausages & mash(£6), scampi & chips (£6) along with smaller children’s roasts on Sundays.
